Therefore this individual makes an interesting contrast with others in a tank of mixed species, or "happy family aquarium," as such a collection is usually called. The Rosy Barb belongs to the Characin family, and, in common with its relatives, drops adhesive eggs. Although well adapted to aquarium life, and usually in the besl of health, the species seldom spawn.-. Nearly all of our stock is dependent upon fresh importations from native waters in British Guiana and Brazil. 23 6a
